I saw it online. Went back and forth about whether or not to buy it, until I made my final decision. Man, I am glad I did. I’ve been stuck on what to do with the book covers for the upcoming Camp Series. I am not a professional photographer, and having someone do the covers for me would be costly because I need three at one time plus pictures for the blog and stuff.
I had dreaded the book cover thing, even more than I dread editing. It has been horrible, really. But I have a far clearer idea of what I can do to cut costs now, and still have a decent cover.
What book has helped me out so much in such a short period of time? What book was I reading while waiting for the bus this morning, when it clicked for me that I can handle this?!
2015 Guide to Self-Publishing, Revised Edition
Yes. The best book I could have chosen this year. I am ecstatic! This book is supposed to be “the most comprehensive guide to self-publishing”. It is put out by Writer’s Digest. And I love it. It is going to be one of my forever books, my pet name for any book that comes into my home that I will never get rid of.
The book is going to be useful for all stages of self-publishing. I have written notes in it, marked things, you name it. After all, it will be mine for the rest of my life. I may be persuaded to lend it to my sisters if they decide to go the self-publishing route, but I will not give it up for long.
There is now clarity where there was murkiness, and this makes me so happy. I cannot wait to move forward with these stories. I am giving myself a couple of months to decide for sure on book covers, then will be doing the final edits. Then, later this year, I will be publishing! Most likely with Amazon.
Be watching for the stories.
And be watching for more clues regarding what the stories are about.
Some exciting things are afoot.
And I want to share them with you.
