I’m planning to publish my new story, The Old Shack in the Woods, on Monday! Granted, it might not actually get to you until Tuesday because it sometimes takes Amazon a day to get it up and then I have to capture it for my author page over there.
It will be the first published story of the year, and I’m so excited to share it with everyone. I’ve been working on the book cover, and gotten the manuscript properly formatted, and have plugged away at the promotional plan to be sure it’s all set for publication on Monday.
Getting story ready for publication takes a lot of time and effort, so it is a huge deal when I get one done – to me anyway.
The Old Shack in the Woods is a stand-alone story from the series Tales from the Mountain, a collection I’ve grown over the past couple of years. My thought is that I eventually will combine all the stories into one book and see about selling printing copies. There’s still plenty of stories left to publish for it though, and more on my list for writing. If it grows enough, I might even get two printed volumes out of them. You never know what the future holds, but that is something I’ve considered.
