What a busy long weekend at work! I would have rather been at the IMPACT festival in Bangor. Three days of great bands. This particular festival raises awareness of the suffering that results from suicide and mental health issues. A worthy cause, for sure.
But I was working at The Inn, conversing with happy guests who love to chat, performing minor maintenance tasks, running back-and-forth getting things for guests, checking people in and out, dealing with angry (and sometimes whiny) people who weren’t happy about things I have no control over and can’t help with, and even cleaning a couple of rooms. It was crazy, and I felt for the ladies cleaning 16+ rooms each day with that humidity. What hard workers they are! I’m thankful for my (mostly) desk job, for sure.
Unfortunately, I was also sick. This humidity is getting to me pretty bad this year. Go figure. While I published the story Dead People last week, I didn’t get to do a lot of promotional stuff for it other than letting the newsletter and Facebook subscribers know it was up for sale. There was just too much going on.

(A Tales from the Woods story, Dead People offers a look at the forces at play in Bear Wood.
What would you do if you entered a bus and came face-to-face with dead people? This is exactly what happens to our main character in Dead People, causing great fear.
Read along as the character attempts to outrun the dead.)
On top of all I have to do for this story, I still have to finish promoting the story The Woods from the month before; the one that KDP published later because of a technical glitch – which also put me behind. Now I am working on getting out the word about two stories. Stick with me, please. It is a process.

(Want to know more about what happens in Bear Wood? The Woods gives you another glimpse at the horrors that live within. Will this little girl and her siblings make it out alive? Find out in this Tales from the Woods story.)
At any rate both stories are ready for purchase, and I hope you enjoy them both.
Have a wonderful week!
