My Current Projects

I have a lot going on this month, and this year. It’s okay, though. I have this need to be busy. I thought I’d touch base with a post about all that I am working on right now.

My biggest priority for January is getting Seeing Things out to you. This story is part five in the #cemeteryhillseries that I started publishing last year. All five stories were written back in 2008. This series is actually a sub-series for Tales from the Mountain. If you haven’t read this sub-series yet, click on the picture above to start. Seeing Things is all edited, the excerpt created, and the next step is to create the ebook cover and graphics. Once those tasks are complete, I’ll be able to publish the book.

I am also starting novella five in the Stalker Series. I’ve been doing some note-taking, and am on the character development stage. As you may recall from my recent goals post, I do not set writing goals for books and novellas. I want to keep this part of my writing life fun, and scheduling the heck out of it will not allow me to keep it that way. I do hope to complete this and one or two other novellas in the series this year but, if I don’t things will be fine. There’s always next year.

I’ve already done the first edit for The Perfect Choice, the first novella in The War Series. On paper, anyway. I’m working on getting those edits into the manuscript on Google Docs. This is the novella I’ve set the goal to publish this year, but there is still so much to do to get it ready. It may take most of the year to get it ready. I’m ecstatic, though, to be publishing my forst novella.

I’m also working on getting set up with Kobo, Barnes & Noble, and LuLu to sell my fiction on their platforms. This is going to take longer than I had originally planned, but it’s okay. Not everything is going to go as planned, and I am learning to deal with this gracefully.

Always promoting, though I don’t really like this part. You can’t sell something you don’t put out there consistently, though.

I’m also trying to get all of the stories lined up with their proper series and sub-series on GoodReads. Those people are so slow, even with reminders. I wish they’d let us change this aspect ourselves like AuthorsDen does.
