“What’s going on, Sean?” She was frightened.
He couldn’t blame her, he was scared as well.
Imagine waking in the middle of the night to a loud noise, going outside to check out the situation only to be faced with terror you could never have imagined. This was the situation on the mountain one night when Sean and Sidney woke suddenly to noises they weren’t accustomed to hearing. What did Sean find when he ventured outside? $0.99
“Go back to sleep. Everything is fine,” he whispered as he laid back down next to her.
As they were dozing off again, a loud bang had them jumping out of bed. “What the hell?” He exclaimed. Then there was the sound of breaking glass.
“What’s going on, Sean?” She was frightened. He couldn’t blame her, he was scared as well.
“I don’t know,” he said as they finished dressing and put on their shoes. “Don’t turn the lamps on, and move quietly out to the other room.” He held her hand as they entered the living room and looked out the window.
“What do you see?” She asked in a hushed voice.
“Nothing,” he replied, letting go of her hand as they neared the front of the cabin, and took the rifle down from its place above the door. “Wait here and keep the door locked until you hear me come back. Do not make any noise, no matter what. And don’t turn on the lamps.”
“Please, don’t go out there,” she said, worriedly. “You don’t know what it could be.”
“I have to.”
