During the month of November I won NaNoWriMo with my Coming Home manuscript. I’d taken time away from the Stalker series in order to do that challenge so, at the end of November, I had two unfinished manuscripts. Winning NaNoWriMo does not mean finishing a book. It just means you wrote at least 50,000 words in that 30 day period.
When I reach, 50,000+ words, I needed to take a break from writing. I had blogging stuff to finish up before the end of the year, a planner to fill out, and a new year to plan. I was too busy to finish either manuscript.
Monday I found myself without much to do, so I took my laptop and the notes for Coming Home with me to Aroma Joe’s to write. Today, sitting in my hotel room (I’m spending the night at work because there is no public transportation tomorrow – New Year’s day buses don’t run.) I finished writing the first draft of that book.
This book had been on my 2020 goals list, to finish in the new year. This means that I am just a little ahead of the game. Yay!!!
Now I’m going to start again on the Stalker story I had put away at the end of October. I’ll let you know how that progresses.
Have a Happy New Year! ❤
